Watercolor Surface Patterns for Hele Pups

The founder of Hele Pups, a dog accessory business, commissioned two custom watercolor surface patterns featuring beloved tropical flowers: puakenikeni, pikake and bird of paradise.

I illustrated the flowers with watercolor on paper, digitized the artwork in Photoshop and arranged the components into seamless (repeating) surface patterns with assorted color backgrounds. The final designs were printed on fabric accessories such as leashes, harnesses and bandanas.
